I like to have fun during photo sessions. This makes for relaxed, natural expressions and an enjoyable portrait experience. To help put some people at ease, I have them make funny faces while we take camera readings off the gray card. Here are some of my favorites from recent individual and senior portrait sessions.
Modeling comes naturally to Brooke and it showed throughout her senior portrait session. She has a good deal of modeling experience and enjoys posing for the camera and incorporating her own style. I had a lot of fun working with Brooke and wish her the best in her modeling career after high school.
Photographing and working with Kayla was very enjoyable. Her ability to nail a pose and work with the camera made my life easy that day. She came to her session well prepared with numerous outfits and this made the shoot extra special.

Working with Ashley for her senior portraits was a fantastic experience! She had a fashionable, beautiful look and kept hitting her poses well as we moved all over the city.
Callan’s senior shoot was a lot of fun from the beginning. She had a great personality and beautiful smile. At one point, as you’ll see below, she even broke out her patented “Blue Steel” pose from the movie Zoolander! Karlee saw the Ten18 display at the mall and decided she really wanted me to be her senior photographer. I was flattered and told her I’d do everything possible to coordinate with her schedule. She came with all her outfits coordinated and ready to go–which always makes for a great session.
Having modeled before, Madison was a natural in front of the camera and made a photographer’s job easy. She even did her own posing and needed only minimal direction. We had a great time and I could’ve keep shooting all day!
From the very first moment, Mariah nailed her poses and appeared natural in front of the camera. Despite shivering and shaking in the Colorado Springs cold and fighting off goosebumps, she did wonderfully!
