During her pre-shoot photo consultation, Tessa proposed one of the most unique senior portrait ideas I had heard. She suggested that we photograph in the burned out area of Black Forest, just outside of Colorado Springs. I found the idea intriguing and wanted to learn more.
Tessa explained how she lived in Black Forest and knew several families who lost their homes in the area’s fire. Not only did Tessa think the burned trees would make an interesting background, she believed photos with a Black Forest backdrop would help commemorate the events of her senior year.
One of Tessa’s other brilliant senior portrait ideas involved her love of shoes. To showcase her massive shoe collection, she surrounded herself by dozens of her favorite shoes. What a cool idea!
Tessa’s location choices proved to be perfect and her photos showcased a truly personal style. Her photos were different from any other Colorado Springs senior portraits I had done and was truly a memory experience.
